Shouk’s brand identity and store interior purposely borrow from humble and basic commodity trading materials. The wear-and-tear charm and patina of re-used objects, the warm sandy palette, and the exotic graphics and typography found on posters, crates, and cans work together to convey the mood of an open bazaar.
Since launching, Shouk has barely had a break, recently being named as Washington’s best vegetarian restaurant.
